Lightning Lesson: Alchemizing Your Space

I have been so inspired by all the cleansing magick I’ve been learning from and utilizing during my big move into our new house, that I wanted to offer a Lightning Lesson via a bonus episode for taking your household chores and aligning them with your manifestation practice.

This is more than just your typical cleansing ritual—I wanted to inspire you to level up your Craft and expand your intuitive practice!

General Overview

Check in with your energy and make sure you’re in the right frame of mind.
Consider both individual spirits AND the spirit of the space as a whole as well.
It’s easier to incorporate your intentions and magick into your regular cleaning routine you already do, rather than trying to add in a spiritual cleansing routine.
You and your intentions are the only necessary tools for the job, so don’t get hung up on if you have “enough” or the “right” items. You are the right item ;)

Astrological Approaches

Virgo, The Alchemist - pro energy here.
Mercury - efficient, swift, resourceful.
Saturn & Capricorn - cool and confident under pressure, master of systems.
Venus - I care for my space because I appreciate it. In turn, it cares for me.
2nd, 4th, 6th (and, bonus! 12th) House transits - may be a much needed time for this type of work.

Your Tools

Smoke - herb bundles, loose herbs, incense, etc. (Plz be safe & responsible!)
Candles
Brooms & cleaning supplies
Clearing crystals
Herbs (fresh, dried, essential oils, etc.) for cleansing & purification/rebirth
Music & sound

Shaping Your Intention

Lean into the metaphor—what current experience or past memory do you have that reminds you of your task at hand? Connect these and lean into the metaphor so that you are using the work you are doing to actively work through a personal experience.
Alchemizing your space is a wonderful canvas for shadow work, healing, inner child work, etc.
Think of your work as clearing the way for abundance and all that you are calling in.

Working with Entities

Deities, entities, spirits, beings, and symbols associated with your intentions or associated with cleansing and purification magick are great to work with.
Think “Blue’s Clues” and let the personality of your home and your belongings come to life. Connect with them, empathize with them, care for them. They’ll do the same for you in return.
